Venue
The 2025 Whippoorwill Festival will be held at a family-friendly 4-H camp near Carlisle, Kentucky. This is a kids summer camp. Most people will tent camp, but yurts (8 bunk beds per yurt) with heat and air-conditioning are an option. There is a large dining hall, a pavilion etc with lots of room for everyone. The site is located 45 minutes north of Lexington on a good 4-lane road (US 68) which runs between Lexington and Maysville, Kentucky.
Kentucky is beautiful and mild in the spring; we are at a wooded camp and we hope for lots of spring wildflowers!
Beautiful Lake Carnico is located close to the 4-H camp. Although it will be too cold to swim in April, there is kayak rental available before and after the festival.
