Senora May is a Kentucky-based singer and songwriter out of Irvine. Also check her out on soundcloud!
There's not a much better way to spend an evening in Kentucky than a sunset over wavy hills. Add Chelsea Nolan to that mix and one would be hard pressed to mistake that for anything but Kentucky. Chelsea Nolan's "Sugar Holler" screams familiarity. Chelsea makes us all long for those nights. Once we're there, we never want to leave.

Nicholas Penn featuring Seth Murphy, cellist of Bear Medicine
Songwriting has been a passion for Nicholas Penn for 13 years. Over the years he has written hundreds of songs and developed his own personal style, flare, and lyrical themes. Seth Murphy has worked with many performing groups in Lexington, and pushes traditional notions of how to use the cello. One of his current projects is Bear Medicine. Together, Nick and Seth have created Alive Music. Each Alive Music experience is 99% improvised and spontaneous, making each musical experience unique. Together their energy is the perfect example of the DIY, skill-building, make-your-own-gathering spirit of Whippoorwill.

Sean Kershaw got his start busking in New Orleans back in ’88 (as in, 19) and plied his trade all over the lower 48 and Alaska until he settled in Portland OR for a spell in the early 90’s where he started the Blind Pharaohs, a rockabilly band. Moving to Brooklyn in ’95 he continued with the Pharaohs as his main project until 2001 when the Twin Towers came down and everything changed including his main act (long story, ask him). Sean Kershaw & the New Jack Ramblers made their debut playing raucous Sunday night parties at an old Mohawk Indian bar turned biker dive, Hank’s Saloon. This took him all over the USA and Australia and of course lots of East Coast shows. Fast forward to now, the Ramblers are still going strong, he has a glam/ska/soul band the Serpentones to scratch the electric itch, and still enjoys playing solo acoustic. He’s really looking forward to playing a set of originals and covers, and hangin’ out in the woods with y’all.
