There are some workshops specifically for children; however, we cannot provide child care.
The Whippoorwill Festival has always promoted a healthy and family-friendly atmosphere. Therefore, the use of alcohol is discouraged and there is a family camping area with a quiet time each night beginning at midnight. Drumming is also not allowed. This is not a clothing-optional festival.
The Whippoorwill Festival was inspired in part by the book Last Child in the Woods by Richard Louv and its call to bring more children and young people into the outdoors. We will have some workshops specifically for children, but also encourage unstructured activities. The campsite includes plenty of spaces to explore and play!
